I learned Ruby specifically for Rails development at my company. Coming from strict, statically typed languages like Java and C#, Ruby's dynamic nature was initially a shock.

However, I quickly fell in love with its elegance and readability. It truly feels like writing English. The philosophy of "developer happiness" is evident in every line of code.
